Title: Merge three 6.5 config environments into one 7.6 how?

Hi !

We are about to upgrade three different config environments all 6.5 and we want to merge these into one 7.6.
We want to import/convert - agents, switch objects, agent groups, places / place groups.

Applications, access groups, strategies and stuuf like that we will rebuild.

Has anyone any godd advice on how to proceed.

To start I would look at Config Conversion wizard to bring the largest environment up to 7.6. You might have to convert it to 7.1 or 7.2 as an interim step, I'm not sure which versions the 7.6 CCW can start from.

Then I guess you need the Config Import Wizard to export the other environments. You will probably need to tweak the XML that you get out before you can use CIW again to import it.

I would recommend that you take database backups at every stage, and practice on a model before you try a live environment.

I think that Fra is on to something here  :(
