GVP 8 has been recently released, I don't think there is many experience with it yet.

I am using GVP V8.0 and can only get peer to peer calls direct to MCP working.
Do you have it working?
The resource mananager is looking in the wrong tenant for the IVR-Profiles.
Need a solution - the manual says multi-tenant config-server. Why is this so, if GVP is single tenant only?

Any experience?

let's face it...GVP 8 is not a product that is ready to go on the market.

Only the fact that you need a framework 8 to install it  :-X

Has anyone had any joy in getting GVP 8 working yet? Or even a working demo?

Still getting stiff armed by Max Ball and Rob Marchand?  ;D  It's time for them to cough up a couple, OK - at least one customer that has it up and running for an interview with The Wire.

I hope to be retired before the mess of the huge forklift upgrade from 7.6 to 8.2.2.  I was seriously involved in planning it last year, but then got yanked off course by the forklift upgrade from 7.2.2 to 7.6  ::)

No, just no help from other parts of Genesys.

Does anybody have any news about GVP8? I'm wondering how many of us have had the chance to look at it..the first 8.0 was released last july, 8 months have passed and..  ??? Genesys have just released v8.1, but I can't see they are pushing it so much..where are demos? I can't find a presentation in Flash either..! Ok ok, Cav doesn't like them, he wants to look at any single option  ;D but I'd happy in getting at least a review. Who has really seen it? Worked with it? Integrated? Is there any chance to get infos like:
[li]integration with SIP Server?[/li]
[li]is it really fully integrated with CME?[/li]
[li]does it finally have a decent reporting?[/li]
I have been given a date to review GVP 8 and play with it so there will be a big review in the April edition The Wire.

If you have specific questions about it let me know and I'll try and answer them in the magazine.

Pavel: what is wrong with actually answering it where it is being asked?  ::)

Regarding GVP 8 - architecture finally is getting close to what I would call a truly Genesys product. The annoying scripts and third-party services are almost gone, GUI feels much more integrated and all together - a much more put together product.

With all of that said: do not use it. Period. As everyone has already probably heard, there are some major attach-data problems with GVP 8.0, and if you get a chance, ask Genesys for GVP 8.1 release. Since it is PA and not GA, you need to make sure that Genesys allows you to use it.

While there are a string of small GVP 8.0 roll outs already, GVP 8.1 has a major leg-up when it comes to using it with Genesys SIP. I have put together a paper on how GVP 8.1 works; however, I want to run it first by some people to make sure that I can disclose it before I post it here.

Sincerely,
Vic
