Title: How to use tie line and trunck DN types

Hi,
I mention that there are DN types for tie line and trunk. could I benifite from this in routing? , ie could I route after making sure that there is an avaialable tie line?
also could I report on tie line,ie get the current calls on the tie lines on CCPulse and get historical the MAX calls on tie lines?

Each DN will act different on every PBX, read your TServer guide for your PBX and see if you can use them.
Wouldn't the max call on your PRI would be the max also received on all RPs?

First, let me define a couple of terms so I am clear.

In the Nortel, tie lines and trunks can refer to either PRI or LineSide T-1s.  PRI have a route and a channel number; they also can represent extensions, although I haven't them used that way.  Line side T-1s are typically setup in the Nortel as a standard 25xx instrument, in Genesys DN folder these are extensions.  If you have a need to send calls across a tie line to another site, and you want to ensure that you have extensions free on the other end, you will need to create a DN group or Place group, or something that allows stat server to monitor their availability and more importantly maintain a statistic that URS can access during your routing strategy.  If you can give us some more info on how you are using these "tie lines" and how they are setup, perhaps we can give you some more ideas on whether you could monitor their usage, and if it would be helpful.
