Hi,
then what is the point of the exam? Sorry, but I don't think you will find anyone here who would submit it. At least, I hope not. The idea is to ensure that people really know Genesys and if people start thinking that people can just get answers from someone else then what would be the point of CGE in a first place.
I know you probably are just worried about the exam, and you should, but just study hard, and make sure you have enough experience dealing with Genesys CTI before you take it, otherwise, chances are you will not pass.
As for what topics covered in the exam, it should say that in CIV description or ask your Genesys guy. If you have some technical questions, I am more than happy to answer them for you, though. Test questions or replies - sorry, but this is not the place for it.
Good luck!

Interesting that someone is asking, though... I think it might be indicative of the "newest" breed out there - that, if someone has already done it and are willing to share it, why should I bother?
Well - one day, aside from you having a shiny certificate on your wall you will actually be expected to know your trade. If you're good at bluffing, then you might get away with it for a month or so - but otherwise, you'll be found out in the end. You have to ask yourself if you are that fast a learner that you can bluff it - or not.
In my experience, it is not the best way to get your foot in the door. Perhaps you'll consider doing what the majority of us did - learn it instead of trying to crib it..? :)

Go Tony!!!
(I will be removing this post in about a week, but want to make sure that it gets the necessary exposure for others see it)

Hey Guys,
I make my living because companies think with their wallets and get people who have the certificates but no idea. Once a project has stalled then they bring in an expert (me) to sort out the s**t.
Hey priya_347sk, no offence is offered but, do the course, study hard and you'll be alot better for it.

Hi priya_347sk,
There aren't any dumps available for GCP7-CIV exam. It's a tough exam and would need a lot of exposure to Genesys components installation and maintenance. I have attached Study Guide for your reference. Besides hands-on, you might like to go through the Documentation DVD (Deployment Guides, Reference Guides, Migration Guide, GUI Help Files etc.)
Let me know in case you need more guidance.

Hey,
This doc is awesome. Am not preparing for any exams, but I see a lot of basics and trouble shooting stuff in it.
If you have similar doc with you, request you to please attach them. It would help me a lot.
Cheers

I don't think you will find something more from Genesys. The best is to read guides and try at lab or at least read to have the idea
-
Is the exam really that easy?
I've worked with Genesys for 7 years and never bothered getting my certification, if it's as easy as that study guide then maybe I should.
-
Not easy, but I'm sure you can pass it easily as you seem to have good knowledge of the platform. More complex questions are launched.
-
To be frank and honest you won;t find much on the Genesys exams unlike Cisco, Oracle etc.
Few guidelines -
1. Read, understand and practise the training manuals
2. Some troubleshooting workshop material is avialble on the website
3. Questions would be primarily testing your Genesys logic.

I'm taking the GVP certification exam tomorrow...
Got quite some experience with GVP, but how relevant will the questions be? ;D
we'll see.
-
I'm going to take the gvp certification next month.
Can you please tell me something about the questions of the exam?
Thanks and regards,
Francesco

Have you read our answers to the other guy????!
-
I thought it was quite simple.
I followed the training "what's new in genesys voice portal 7.5" and I had some hands-on experience (a couple of GVP projects with various customers)
I passed the exam with a 94% score.
Main focus is on:
GVP deployment and planning
GVP installation and configuration
GVP Monitoring and Troubleshooting
EMPS architecture.
-
Congratulations!

These informations are present in the Genesys site, can you tell me if the questions were as difficult as the ones present in the Genesy brochure?
I'm asking that to understand if my knowledge is enough to sustain the exam considered that i'm sure my company won't pay twice for my certification... ;)
I have studied the course material plus the pdf guides of the release 7.5 and i've a couple of years of experience in gvp from 7.2 release.
Thanks for your help.

The questions in the exam are quite similar to the ones in the certification guide pdf.
But if you have a couple of years of experience...don't worry, normally you should pass the exam.
-
Yesterday i made it with a 94% of score, now i can go on with the DIV certification... :D
-
Congrats! ;D
-
I'm planning to take the DIV certification (GEO-702).
I was wondering if anyone has taken it.
-
I passed the exam last September, if you've been on the FRO, FRI, RRI courses and know the course manuals and also have some hands on experience in looking at log files etc, you'll fly through it.
My advice would be to go over those courses I mentioned above.
Good Luck
-
I think you're referring to the GEO-701 exam because the GEO-702 suggested training comprises FRO, BRD and ARD.
Do you agree?
-
Yep your right, you've gone for the one with the Developers flavour.

Sorry guys, but I think that priya_347sk concern to have some samples of exams is quite a good and natural thing. I am even surprised by the reactions it raised... as if it was a kind of attempt to cheat!!!
Answers from our moderators shocked me as being really politically correct
And what about this answer of Victor saying the post will be suppressed after one week!!!
Is this a new type of censure???
Is this site really undependent?
Working on sample mock exams is quite common practice to pass real (sorry to say that) certifications like J2EE ones.
They really add something to experience and documentation reading.
They just make you think, manipulate concepts, discover new possibilities.
Like mathematics exercices.
They also make you know if you are ready or not (to avoid having to pay for nothing --> see next paragraph).
I do not believe a lot in Genesys certifications.
- First it is too easy to pass them (fortunately as there is no available mock exam to pratice)
- Second, they should rely on strong documentations formatted like specifications, and there Genesys has a lot to improve.
- Finally, I really wonder if they are not a way of earning money and selling Genesys trainings
If you doubt, just go to http://www.genesyslab.com/training/frequently_asked_questions.asp#cost
To pass a certification without preparatory training it costs 900$
Most common certifications cost around 250$...
-
From my point of view the certification exam is a good tool to test your knowledge on Genesys.
I took the Genesys certification 2 weeks ago, i'm also Cisco certified and in my opinion the difference between these 2 certifications is that to get Cisco's you need only to work on the p4s, the Genesys one requires hard study and working experience...if you want to study Cisco you can, but it's not strictly required to get the certification!!!
I know that Genesys certification costs a lot of money, but i think that this is a company policy to avoid that a lot of persons tries it.
Regarding the training i think thar Genesys courses are very useful, a attended a lot of courses and i hope to have the possibility to take other courses in the future.
Regards,
Francesco

I think that if it is too easy then why so many failures around? For me personally was not easy because many questions of products I don't handle or scenarios that my job doesn't allow like multiple tenants, or InfoMart, reality of Genesys customers here is far from getting to those scenarios described. Interesting however to see what else I had to learn and try at lab. So for my opinion you must be very lucky to be able to test and play with all those scenarios described and more to be able to deploy all of them easily.
Good for you :) lucky one
