HI all,
Could some one help me out of this error... This is happenning only in my PC while I can do it from rest.. !!!
-
try connecting to the database using some sql utility (for example: Enterprise Manager for MSSQL, SQL* for oracle) and see if you are able to connect...
it could be a networking issue.
-
Yeah.. I too thought of it... But I can connect my Config Mngr and make changes where as I am unable to do it in OCM & CCPulse.... In ccpulse I am getting the error as Timeout to connect to dbserver. (statserver)....
Where can I see the settings of dbconnection in OCM / CCpulse

In CME check the DAP seting. It must be have port number equal to corresponding DB server.

Hi.. As siddarth told.. I am facing a prob in network,,, Tnx for ur support !!
-
is it resolved?
if not, you need to add your DB server ip and host to hosts file may b- did you try that?
-
NOpe.. Its not yet solved... I am trying to do the same... But where shall I update my db host... !!!

Here is my guess:
you can connect Config Manager to config server, which is ok, and you can use DB tool to connect to database directly as well.
But, OCM accesses database through DB server. The same goes for CCP+ (I assume you are using datamart data in CCP views as well), thus my very first guess would be is that you are blocked on port 4040 (or whatever port you are using for your DAP) and this is why.
Definitely a network/firewall issues. To prove it, just look into your DB Server logs and see if your OCM or CCP can connect to it :)

Hi Victor, I go with ur answer ! and I can see that I am unable to connect to the port 4042.. but I cant find any relavant logs in the DB .... So how can I over come this.. even my firewall settings are blocked ...totally !!
