Title: Genesys tools system requirments?
Post by: AK666 on February 06, 2009, 04:55:42 PM
Hi All,

Hope somone can help.

I am trying to find out what the system requirements are from the following genesys tools:

1)    CCPulse+ 7.5
2)    Configuration Manager 7.5
3)    Interaction Routing Designer
4)    Solution Control Interface 7.5

I have searched Google and the Genesys website/help files but can’t find this information.

Need this for PC spec justification.

Thanks.

Thanks for getting back to me. I can’t find the info in the help files but I will keep looking.

I have noticed that our systems can’t handle 3 concurrent ccpulses, but it looks like one ccp doesn’t pull to much resource.

Keep in mind that CCPulse is highly subject to how many stats you open, how many objects you display, and at what refresh interval you update them one.

I run several on an older dual-core 2Ghz machine, with XP and 1 GB of RAM and it seems to work pretty good for me. I do try and keep my monitored objects at 1000 or less per pulse instance.

It's all listed in the Genesys 7 Hardware Sizing Guide.  I would happily attach it here, but don't know the rules around doing so.  Here is the link to the updated version on the support site: :::LINK REMOVED:::

The rules are Guilden_NL that those are copyrighted documentation and therefore we can't post them anywhere.

Thanks, thought that might be the case, hence me posting the link.  ;)

It is truly sad that it's so hard to find and get good doco from Genesys even when you're paying a lot of money for their product.  Yet for Avaya documentation, I don't bother to log into their site, I just Google it and whatever I need is available to anyone in the world, Avaya customer or not.

Here's one perfect example. Avaya Communication Mgr; today I needed to find a doc that I thought I once had and in less than one minute, downloaded from the Avaya site without logging in with my Avaya customer login.  http://www.avaya.com/gcm/master-usa/en-us/products/offers/communication_manager.htm&View=ProdResources

It's sad that Genesys is being so lazy and/or arrogant.  This goes back to my post in the other forum about poor support from Genesys.
