Title: Linux Web App Server with GVP?
Post by: Gulden_NL on March 04, 2009, 03:39:45 PM
Curious if there are any others out there running Linux WAS with Apache Tomcat (or any other app server) with GVP?  We're about to analyze the current Java VAR clients for Wintel and Solaris to understand what needs to be tweaked to run on Linux (Red Hat Enterprise 5.2).

Also GVP 8.x will support Linux throughout given that it really is Voice Genie with some Genesys tweaks.

Does it matter what Application Server is used as long as VXML or TXML are returned? ( I realise that you're after a real-world example).

As for Linux, didn't that come in with GVP v8.1? But the problem is that the CTI Connector runs only on Windows.

Pavel,
The apps work fine on Linux, the only issue is that the VAR client currently is only Wintel and Solaris.  We use VAR reports, so rather than write our own VAR client, we want to tweak the current Java VAR client.

Not a huge issue, but one that I need to work out.
