Better use the 6 SP1 version. I had some issues with version 5 on a Win2003 Server once and since then always use v6

Yes, that would be ideal.
But we have three VTOs running windows 2000 and it would be easy just upgrade OS.

Do you remeber what issues you had?

Yes it is.

But, Dialogic SR 5.1.1 requires winstrm.dll which does not come with Windows 2003.
So to get this working you need to copy winstrm.dll from a Windows XP machine to system32 on Windows 2003.

Some issue with tone detection and hardware failing from time to time, and yes, using a copy of the DLL.
If you upgrade OS (hardest part) why not upgrade also Dialogic software? sounds logic to me.

Question:

is SR6.X free? I am still unclear on whether now I need to pay for it or not.

Could you someone explain what "winstrm.dll" does?
Quick search didn't come up with what it is.

Vic, you can try downloading SR6.x from dialogic site.
We got it from our dialogic board supply vendor.

Version 5 was free I believe but 6 was not. You need a login and never figure out how to get it, so I asked to the guy from who we purchased the board and that was it.
