Title: Connections loss between CCon and TServer due to protocol error
Post by: astrakid on April 16, 2009, 01:52:22 PM
Hi,

we are experiencing the problem, that ccon loses connection to tserver very often. It is caused by a protocol error, that looks like this in ccon-logs:

connection 11 protocol error: data length='16384'
72 76 69 63 65 5F 54 79 70 65 5F 44 4E 49 53 00 rvice_Type_DNIS.
15 45 6E 74 72 79 5F 53 65 72 76 69 63 65 6C 69 .Entry_Serviceli
(addp-dispose) fd=11

the addp-message tells us that the conection will be closed by ADDP.

Has someone any idea what causes this protocol error? Genesys is not able to reproduce this behaviour...

kind regards,
astrakid

Try to look at network connection.
Make sure your duplex settings are match between servers and switches.

hi,

in the meantime that former issue was solved by itself. noone knows what did cause it.
nevertheless we are now facing the same issue again. This time a network specialist found out that lots of checksum errors at the application are causing this. there seems to be a problem at the physical links between two locations, but in the meantime this problems disappeared as well. however, if you experience the same issue it is caused by the connection itself. if the handling on genesys side can (or must) be improved is under investigation by genesys.
