Title: Pass attached data between GVP and T-Server
Post by: sitto on May 12, 2009, 03:53:36 AM
Hi Friends,

I have a requirement from customer that they want to create 2 CDRs on MSC for each incoming call so what I do is when a customer calls via MSC and go to GVP, a customer selects a service, the call is sent it back to MSC and MSC sends that call to an agent. In this case I configure ISCC between IVR server and T-Server. You can see the picture as the attached file

My question is: I'm not sure the attached data can pass between GVP and T-Server or not because MSC has created 2 calls and how ISCC can map the call? Genesys recommends to use dnis-pool option in ISCC Transaction Type.

Do you have the same requirement? please advise me.

Many Thanks,
To

Just inform more info. In this case DNIS is changed also.

Cheers,

Sitto,

I do not know what you mean by MSC, but I assume it is Master Switch Center, which means a big switch inside a cellphone carrier network.

There is no practical way to do this using dnis-pool if your DNIS is going to change. At least I do not know how it would work. Have you tried linking it with ANI? That would be my fallback since if it is a carrier you will have ANI/MSN available to you ALL the time.

Thanks Vic for fast response.

MSC is Mobile Switching Center. Right now I have to design how it work first so I do not test it yet.

You mentioned that to link it with ANI, do we have to set "direct-ani" option?

I am not sure by DNIS change what you mean, but dnis-pool should work if these xfer calls have non conflicting DNIS(s).

1. Configure all DNIS leading to target as Access Resource type of DN in target switch. Set resource type as dnis.
2. Configure the access number for the above DNs.
3. Configure ISCC with DNIS pooling.

I tried this config once long back and it seemed to work.

Thanks

Thanks SisB

What I know from my engineer when call is sent to GVP that DNIS will be route point on GVP and when GVP sends SIP Refer to MSC for transferring to Avaya that DNIS will be changed to route point on Avaya. So DNIS is changed, right? Or it can work on dnis-pool?

However right now I'm planing to test this case. If you have any idea please advise.

Thanks,
To

Hi,
I am bit new to ISCC transfers and DNIS pooling.

can anybody explain why do we need DNIS pooling concept and how it helps?

Thanks

Depends entirely on your platform. Check TServer guides to understand it all.
