Title: VTOServer (5.1) with the G6
Post by: eva on January 01, 1970, 12:00:00 AM
Hello,

we have the G6 up and runnig!
To play voice announcements we installed the VTOServer (5.1).
After starting the VTOService, the Server status says
"Running, channels in use: 0 of 0".
We tested the DialogicBord and it was possible to play announcements.
We also created the folder "Channels" and entered the nummber of the voice channel that corresponds to the selecteted DN.

Why dose´nt the VTO_server find the Channels??
Please help!! ;o)

Hi,

we have solved the problem! ;o)
But now we have the next problem:

If you start the service from the VTOServer he finds his channels.
It’s possible to import a voice file and to play it to a customer from a strategy.
But if you call the VTOServer directly it’s not possible to enter the ID and to record a voice file or to listen too an existing voice file.
I only receive an error message: Sorry, a system error has occurred while processing your request.

I have you got an idea??

Regards,
Eva

EVA: what prompted you to use VTO in G6? What advantages does it have over traditional IVR server configuration?

Hello, Kim, how are you doing?

To answer your question, personally, I do not see any particular advantages in using voice treatment options. I have found that the use of thirdparty products usually produced faster, more stable, and much more economical results than when used in combination with VTO.
