Hi all,
I am in the process of getting aquainted with a Genesys environment we are now tasked with rebuilding, and I have most of the installs downloaded from the Genesys Tech Website. However, I cant find license manager 8.3 anywhere? I have found a folder on our network which is labelled license manager 8.3, and when I go in there, I see lmgrd, etc, but Im unsure if there needs to be an install carried out, and these are the files that remain once a proper install is carried out?
If anyone can tell me if this is the case, is there an install needed, and where we could possibly download this version of LM?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Yes there is an installation media for it. It is part of the Management and Framework solution DVD, but you do not have to use it if you know how to write and set up boot-up script. The only think you should check is whether the binaries you found are for Solaris.

Hi,
I checked the Management & Framework section of the download area in the tech support site but couldnt find any mention of it?
We only have Genesys running on Solaris here so I would assume that the binaries are for the solaris platform. Can you confirm that if these are the binaries needed, then there wont be a need for an install as such?

You would have to download the whole cd to get the LM. As I said, you do not need the installation script when you know how to run the binary and/or how to setup starting/stopping script for server booting/shut-down process. The installation script is just creating for you these scripts and placing in to right directories. But if you do not have such experiences, then download is the option for you.
