Hi,
I am looking through Genesys Deployment Manual for OCS and I see that Genesys states 1 transaction per second max for OCS. We calculate maximum of 70 transaction per second via OCS (2,000,000 outbound calls per day) and I am wondering how in the world it can be done.
I cannot find any literature on using multiple OCS in load-sharing configuration. Can it be done?
Best regards,
Vic

That's an awful lot of outbound calls! I'd hate to be paying that telephony bill!
I'm not sure it's possible, I'd ask the question of Genesys support and see what they have to say about it. You may find that 1 call per second is actually a CTI link / TServer limitation rather than OCS as an outbound call generates much more load on a CTI link than a normal inbound call.
The only way I can think of would be to use multiple Genesys campaigns started against multiple OCS's, of course this will reduce the effectiveness of your agent group size but with that many calls I'm not sure it's really a concern.
Keep us informed, I'd love to see how you manage to get it done.

I am not very much concerned about PBX link, because we will have enough PBXs to handle it. What I am concerned is load-sharing between OCS.
Starting a campaign against several OCS: this is something of a load-sharing. So, you can actually have one campaign running against multiple OCS? But then how is calling list being handled? I did not know that you could run a single campaign on several OCS at the same time... Can you please tell me more?
Thanks,
Vic

You can't run 1 campaign on multiple OCS's, however you can run multiple campaigns against multiple OCS's.

That's what I have feared.
How about multiple OCS sharing the same calling list using filters?

You don't need to use filters, unless you have a specific purpose to do so.
Once a list is dialled by one campaign, it will not be dialled by another campaign.

Ok,
then when you have a huge list, and you want to spread it between different OCS, how would you do it then???
