Title: Genesys licensing changes from 6 to 7

I am working with a company which is installing 7.6. Licensing seems to have changed from version 6 so that the physical seat is licensed rather than concurrent users. This is going to cost more for licenses that earlier versions. Have any other users had to deal with this issue?

There are a few threads about licensing on the Forum.

The basics are that Genesys work with a VAR to determine the licensing model.  Also, there are 2 models of "licensing" - technical and commercial.  Whilst the technical model may change (FlexLM and the way it signs out seat licenses, etc.) the commercial model does not always change.  I would speak with your Genesys Account Manager or VAR if you have any questions specific to what you are installing, to determine what/how things have changed (if at all).
