Title: Adding Groups to CCPulse
Post by: PFCCWA on September 18, 2009, 08:06:40 PM
Hello,

Is it possible to add groups to a CCPulse (v7.5) view after they have been selected?

At the moment, if for example we create a view (with multiple tabs/templates) then add a DN Group in CME, the whole thing has to be recreated to accommodate the addition - as we didnt select it in the first place because it had not existed before.

Also if the tabs are created in a order, can they be rearranged after?  Its not obvious if they can so we are deleting and recreating in the desired order for the time being.
Thanks,
WA

Hit new and it will keep the current config. Also in CCPulse application be sure that the notify new objects property is enabled.

little note: When clicking new in ccpulse, you might need to select the child box for parent properties for any current objects.

I know its a real pain, even if the objects remain selected, its a nightmare having to apply templates and thresholds etc all over again.  To make it worse, if you have a lot of templates, and you have renamed each view so that the tab shows a meaningful name, you cant actually see which template was used to create the view.  We got round this by putting the template name in the stat section header, that way you can always see which template is being used for each view.
