Title: Hyperion and datamart
Post by: panchonet on November 26, 2009, 01:25:14 PM
Hi guys,

I have installed a lab environment of Genesys for my company. The environment is working, but I can't view the historical statistics in Datamart. I have Hyperion for viewing the statistics in the production environment. I have created a new ODBC data source, a new .oce file to connect to the lab Datamart and I am using the same .bqy files of the production environment, but when I carry out a report it fails.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Is the OCE the same name?

Hi Pavel,

I have created the .oce file with a different name, and I select this .oce file un the .bqy report. The Datamart of the lab environment has also a different name than the production Datamart.

Hi.

What does mean, it failes? What do you see in designer console?
Have you deployed DMA templates and activate them?

Hi guys,

I were using various templates that had been customized by Professional Services of Alcatel. I have tested the standard templates included in the reporting CD of Genesys and they work well.

pls. describe what you are getting when you run your report. Also post here what do you see in hyperion console window. It is some option in edit or view menu.

Did you activate custom report layouts made up by Alcatel Professional Services in DMA ? If yes, can you check which tables or views are used by your custom bqy file ? Maybe your bqy is using direct access to tables (O_xxx_OBJ_DIM, R_xxx_STAT_RES, T_xxx_TIME_DIM) instead of using view objects (O_RL_DAY, V_RL_DAY, T_RL_DAY per example). When you activated custom RL in lab-environment, they were activated in DataMart with different table numbers and that's why your custom bqy doesn't work anymore on lab env.
