Hi,
I have a question regarding Interaction Concentrator.
I am trying to find out the size that I could expect a PQ file (persistant queue. SQLLITE file used by Icon) to grow in an environment with 5k agents.
Bear in mind that the PQ file is written into prior to being writen into IDB. If the database is operational the file will remain relatively small as the data is written from the file into IDB.
If the database is unavailable with an extended outage, in this scenario, PQ file will keep on growing until the point that IDB is available again.
What I am after is a formula that I could use to calculate max size that I could expect the file to be if IDB was unavailable.
Hope this makes sense ::)

Yep - that makes sense...
AFAIK Genesys provide (Excel) documents for capacities in both Infomart and ICON - if you copies of these, one of the tabs should be relevant to your PQ size - other than that, you could either ask Genesys directly or perhaps conduct a study yourself...
HTH?

Hi Tony,
Just checked both sizing spreadsheets:
ICONSize_760.xls
76g_DBSizing.xls
and as I thought they are both just for size of IDB, not PQ file.
cheers
