Title: HAProxy

Hi,
we are migrating from 5.1 to 6.x. we are running primary and backup TServer and primary and backup HAProxy. the problem is when we have an active Call and the TServer crashes, then the backup Tserver switched, but we loose the active Call in Softphone.
does anybody know how to configure this correctly.

Hi Simmerl:

This problem is fixed by using the 6.5 Java Starterapp. But if you are using ActiveX starterapp, I think its fixed in 6.1 release itself.

Also both the HAProxies will run as PrimaryPrimary. You can either use ONE CTIlink and connect both the HAProxies to that link and connect both the Tservers to both the HAproxies.

Otherwise you can use TWO CTIlinks so that you will have link edundancy also incase the CTIlink fails.

The only problem with the 6.5 SoftPhone is any agent who is on a call with a screenpop will still have the screenpop when the Primary Tserver fails, but NO new agent can login because the SoftPhone is configured to connect to the Primary Tserver by default and the Primary is down.

Custom coding is required to solve the SECOND issue. But as far as screenpops are concerned for agents who are already logged in, you should be fine if you use 6.5 Java starterapp.
