Title: TServer 6.1 with G3
Post by: URT on January 01, 1970, 12:00:00 AM
Hi everybody,

Simple question, but is this normal that my Tserver doesn't receive any ready, not ready events from the PABX. In the other way it's works, I can control the set from the StarterApp, the set become ready or not ready but when we do that manually from the set the StarterApp and tserver are not noticed.

thanks

Yes. This is "normal". Avaya intentionally withholds certain
messages over ASAI/MAPD so that they can push their own products.
THere is a software update you can use to unlock those messages,
but you have to use an Avayaowned 3rd party app (ie Quintus) in
order to get them to install it.

THis is why a sogftphone is always required with any CTI vendor in
a G3 environment.

How hard would it be to get all the messages out of the link?

It may depend on the switch version. The ASAI/MAPD publishes most messages across the link, though not guranteed. I'm not sure about the absolute latest release but it has normally not been an issue with this switch ( I've seen many mixed environments, though I wouldn't recommend that due to the havoc it creates for reporting). Have you checked the tserver documentation for all options related to messages?
