Title: Does gad/outbound 7.6 support enumeration values for custom fields update?
Post by: kevinwang on April 16, 2010, 07:44:45 PM
After picking up a outbound call, assuming agents want to edit custom fields' value, they have to input value,  is it possible to select from enumeration values, like those pre defined fields, for example call result, phone type etc,
this way, agents avoid making mistake.

No, you have to make it on your own application, GAD can feed the data in your Application and then do what you ask on your side.

There are a lot of scenarioes we need this function, like if agent needs to change state name of a address,
agent doesn't have to input acronym of state name, but just select it from a drop list, or customer's gender,
or customer age, which should be selected from 0-10, 11-20,21-30, etc.
anybody knows more detail about this problem?

Kevin,

As I've written already GDesktop is product not SDK. If you are not happy with out-of-box functionality you can develop a customization and change GDesktop's behaviour that way. Of course, customization is limited and doesn't cover all GDesktop's features.

I've never tried it but it should be possible to develop custom tab for handling outbound data and use this one instead of the standard one.
