Title: Using OutboundObjects in strategy
Post by: bogdan on July 06, 2010, 08:57:58 AM
Hello,

Does anybody know if the OutboundObject (UpdateRecord, DoNotCall, RecordProcessed) can be used in routing strategies using only URS and OCS? From the documentation I can't figure out if it is posible without an Interaction Server.

What I want, is when an outbound call (predictive) is placed on a strategy, the strategy to update the record before it is sent to the agent.

When I did the straight forward test, I found an 0001 error message (on the UpdateRecord method) in URS log, but I couldn't trace the UserEvent in OCS or TServer logs.

Thanks

They cannot be used in such way - Interaction server currently is a must for listed Outbuond objects. Some other way had to be found.

Yes, InteractionServer is required. It should not stop you because you need just Interaction Server, even DB is optional in this case. There are voice customers who is using Interaction Server for similar purposes (message bus for ESP services).

Hello,

I've installed the Interaction Server, but I don't know how to declare the ESP. Can someone please explain me in details how to configure it so that the InteractionServer can communicate with OCS?

You have to specify OCS in Interaction Server connections list.

Hello,
I have the connection in the "Connection Tab" of Interaction Server to OCS. The support told me that I can't create the ESP port using OCS 7.1, so the only solution is to upgrade to 7.5.

So I'm ruined  :'(.
