Title: License problem
Post by: Bashu on August 13, 2010, 04:38:10 AM
Hi There,

We have sufficient Tserver Licenses and no more agents are logged in GAD. But I am facing a problem with Licenses. I can see “No more Licenses “Error Message in Tserver log files. I have restarted Tserver after that also I am facing same problem.  :'(
Could you please anyone help me what could be the reason for this.  ???

Thanks,
Bashu.

Check the Tserver log file - what's the license feature
Check the Tserver log file - how many agents try to log in and how many licenses are being checked out
Check your license file - verify how many licenses you have on that feature

You can also use lmstat on the licence server to see where it thinks they are being used.

If you have multiple T-Servers is the number of licences option (num-of-licenses) set too high on one of them, or is it set to 0 (zero) which means take all available licenses.

Hi Bashu,

There are two types of licences used by TServer

- tdn - all registed DNs (Routing Point, Extension, VQ etc.) are counted in
- sdn - only registered DNs that can be used for agent login are counted in (extension, position)

so if you create more DNs of type Extension/Position than is the number of sdn licences TServer will report licensing error.
