Title: Performance Issues with SUN T5220 > Stat Servers ?
Post by: tony on September 29, 2010, 01:07:48 PM
Hello! :)

We seem to be having some performance issues whilst running (9) Stat Servers on the same partition of a SUN T5220 Server, with CMT.  It has 4 CPU, 20Gb allocated and there is currently NO LOAD on the StatServers - they just seem to be taking ages booting up (up to 390 seconds...)

Ticket was raised with Genesys and they say (sic) "no-one else has complained about it..."  :o

- Has anyone experienced this previously - or perhaps have any pointers as to where we might need to look...?

Thanks!

Tony,

Maybe it has something to do with network connection between this machine and config server. Something becomes stuck on network when 9 processes try to get whole config from cme. Did You chceked logs to se what takes so much time?. Another thought - maybe they are configured to write/read to the same file for backup/log ?

I guess we should try starting them up individually, to see if that helps...

Thanks for the pointers - I was hoping that someone might have had issues with the hardware trying to manage the (StatServer) application threads - and maybe how we could stop it from doing that and allowing the applications to manage themselves/their own threads...

Any ideas, anyone..?

Thanks!
