Check the campaign sequence. Also if you leave the campaign running and your records have their daily_from and daily_till with the dialing hours you want it will also work. The record will be only dialable if it is between those times.

Hi, Thanks

I have tried both.....but both have failed me.

The problem is that the records are being cached to agents overnight.....and because the campaign is still running the next day as soon as they login the dialler begins to call the cached records. Which are now out of date!!

Any ideas??

Thanks

What do you mean that they are out of date? If you are saying that the record then shouldn't be called because of your business needs, then you have you to empty your calling list or use API to cancel those records. The fact is that the ideas do work, what is not working is your business flow.

We are facing a similar problem. Our operations team used to manage an old selfdeveloped application to magae campaigns (it was basically a progressive dialer)

We have installed Genesys Outbound integrated with Siebel and with GPLUS CampSynch and what we have found is that supervisor find very dificult to manage the new system. We are going to develop using SDK diferent tools like a personal OCM (manage campaigns, stop and start, assign Agents, that is made using CME, ...) including a windows service that will stop and start automatically and will assign automatically treatments for call result, etc...

I think that if you need to stop and start campaigns you can use a similar solution (involves development of course). There is in genesys development forum an example of a web based OCM that can use to start the development.

We are quite satisfied with OCS results and the only problem we found is the manage of campaigns using OCM, CME, CCpulse, etc..

Regards,

Miguel

Hi Miguel (mfsaez)!

Just a quick question, where did u find the example that you talked about?

Did you use Java or .NET?
My problem is that i can't find examples using java about the connection to the server! I also want to do the same as you, a start or a stop of the campaigns... If someone can help me, i would appreciate. :)

Thanks in advance!!

Check the campaign sequence.

With the campaign sequence you can set the stop time, however, you have to select day & time, so each day must be reconfigured..
Not sure what you mean with 'the records are out of date', fred.s: let's say they have to be dialled between 6 and 8 pm, then you have to ensure that your agents are ready..and if you have applied some treatments so that they are rescheduled for 10 pm and instead they are dialled just when the agents log back in next day, well, either those treatments are misconfigured or you need to apply a business logic and update your calling list overnight via what suggested (API or batch jobs to the DB).
