Hello dear all, I have a question. I've installed ActiveX Desktop Toolkit on my local machine, StarterApp.exe works, no problem. But I cannot use activex controls in my VB project. It says that I don't have license. As I remember while installing this toolkit I wasn't asked to specify license server at any step, so I assume that it must be configured some other way.
Do somebody knows how/where configure ActiveX control to properly read license from license server? I don't want install Visual Studio and make programming/debugging on production machine.

You are selecting the wrong component, use only Genesys Desktop Toolkit - ActiveX Interface. The other components were ment for CfgServer and ICS which are now deprecated. You should beging to point to Platform or Interaction SDKs

I'm using "Genesys Desktop Toolkit - ActiveX Interface" which is located at C:\WINDOWS\system32\Gdtkx.ocx. It adds buttons like TRegister, THold and so on. But when i try to drag one of the component to my form I get "License information for this component not found. You do not have appropriate license to use this functionality in the design environment."
What am I doing wrong?

Really strange, never saw that, only when using Multimedia ones...
-
Maybe I have wrong SDK then? Does this ActiveX controls should require a license? If so, where is it configured?
-
No, only multimedia part, I do have it installed on 3 different PCs and laptops and never asked for a license, even without a Framework installed...
Maybe you should try to reinstall
Which version are you using?

Reinstalling of activex toolkit fixed problem. Now Gdtkx.ocx reside in c:\gcti\... etc
And seems to be working now. Perhaps version was wrong
