Title: How many external routing point?
Post by: Alessandro on January 01, 1970, 12:00:00 AM
Hi,
I've just finished genesys's training and I'm trying to build a multisite architecture based on Genesys 6.1 ERS and Avaya Definity G3Si. I'm planning to connect two PABX with two CDN (2 trunks and 60 lines), but I'm not sure if I have to use only 1 external routing point for each site or more. Can somebody help me? I'd like to understand if external routing point is only a virtual point in Genesys or if it has also something matching on the PABX, and if so it is only a VDN pointing to a vector with a step of adjunct routing type?

The most minimum number of ERP you need is TWO :) One ofr each side.

Set it up as you would setup any ordinary routing point, so, yes, you will need a vector :)

Depending on how many calls you are sending from one site to another, you might want to have an additional ERP added to your target site, but, in most cases, one oone ration is more than enough.

Telling me if you need more help.

Vic, first of all thanks for your help. But now I have another question:
I'd like to know if I have also to create a strategy and load it on the external routing point.
Thanks.
