Hi all,
Have anyone implemented this before?
I'm currently facing a problem installating t-server Avaya CM v8 whereby its "not able to connect to config server : login incorrect". My config server is running on v6.5. T-Server Avaya CM v7.6 is able to install and connect fine.
Based on the PA announcement "The Genesys 8.0 T-Servers are compatible with 6.x, 7.x, and 8.x Framework environments."
I've upgrade config server to v7.2 and now its able to install T-Server Avaya CM v8.0. Is there any known impact on that?
Thanks!

I would never install a 8.x component on a 6.x config layer.
Although core components, among which Tserver, should be backward compatible (Tserver 7.x is fully backward compatible with Config Layer 6.x), many others are not, as there were too many major changes to the config schema between 6.5 and 7.5.
Can you show me that PA please? I have scanned the Tech Support and Xchange unsuccessfully.
Also, is there any reason why you would need a config layer 6.5 / 7.2?

Customer is on FWK 6.5 and will be upgrading to Avaya S8800 CM5.2.1. Based on the SMI doc, only tserver v8.0 supports CM5.2.1.
Thanks!

Interesting. I would definitely raise a ticket / email the product manager to ask for clarifications.
I would still upgrade to framework 8.x though.
