Title: Anyone using Genesys with Nortel CS1000E 5.5?
Post by: NewToGenesys on November 05, 2010, 07:56:55 PM
We are implementing CIM (Inbound Voice, Management Framework, URS, Infomart).  Any feedback is appreciated as I am new to the platform.  I am told the CTI link support is going to be discontinued in 2012.  Anyone know if that is firm?

They may be referring to discontinuing support for a specific version of the CTI Link, as opposed to the CTI Link in general. If you're implementing, it might be worth getting this answered so upgrades and compatibility can be planned for.

Thanks Kevin.  I am reviewing the proposal from Genesys now.  What are the typical annual recurring costs I should be looking at?  Is there typically an annual per port charge from the PBX vendor (Nortel/Avaya) and per seat charges for CTI (Genesys), along with per port charges for GVP (Genesys)?

I can only speak from my experience as an end-user, so anyone who is an integrator, feel free to add your remarks.

Regarding Genesys, we pay an annual maintenance amount which is a percentage of the list price of the products we have (generally the licensed seats and ports).

Since the PBX question could have a number of different answers based on whether the switch is owned, leased, or hosted, and whether it is managed internally or through a third party,  I would recommend you speak with the Telecom team for the company in question to find out what one-time and recurring costs could be associated with this implementation.
