Title: GPlus adapter for Siebel?
Post by: NewToGenesys on November 09, 2010, 08:27:26 PM
We are purchasing the GPlus adapter, to simply the Genesys/Siebel CTI.  Any experiences to share?  Also, what services are available via the GPlus adapter?  Can Genesys request any data that is stored in Siebel, or only the fields relevant to CTI?

Hi,

It's very general question. Did you have any presentation of Gplus adapter features? If not then you should ask your partner or Genesys to present Gplus features to you.

Briefly - Gplus enhances Siebel Communication Server with T-Library API so you can invoke required Genesys CTI operation from Siebel. It comes with out-of-box CTI Toolbar and supports both voice and multimedia (email, chat, open media) interactions. It is possible to customize out-of-box behavior of CTI toolbar.

Yes but it's more about Siebel than Genesys. You can get data from Siebel using web services. Gplus itself doesn't support any special interface for reading data from Siebel.

Thanks for your reply.  In addition to the CTI functionality, the GPlus adapter was initially presented to us as a way to potentially minimize the number of services we would need to make available for our GVP platform.

Hi,

It's possible that CTI integration into Siebel can make even the integration with GVP easier but it's hard to comment for me as I have no clue about your environment, required functionalities etc.
