Title: Assigning CPD ports to specific campaigns
Post by: scoll7567 on March 25, 2011, 11:43:23 PM
We have 70 CPD ports used for outbound calling.  We have two campaigns sharing the 70 ports.  Is there a way to assign/allocate specific ports to a specific campaign (e.g., CPDs 1 - 30 to campaign 1 and CPDs 31 - 60 to campaign 2)?

We use progressive dialing for both campaigns

You can't allocate specific ports, but you can restrict the number of ports a campaign group uses.

One option, which I admit is ugly, is to have multiple CPD servers (with each server having the specific ports you want - e.g. 1-30 ports in CPDServer1, 31-70 in CPDServer2).

Then point each campaign to a specific CPD Server.

You run into constraints around breaking up your ports per CPD Server since depending on what you are using, it may not be physically possible.  E.g. you might have 1 x 60 port Dialogic card for CPD.  You can't break that into two.
