SIP Server 8.0.200.44
Stream Manager 7.6.004.01
OCS 7.6.101.37
URS 7.6.2
Is it possible to disable the ring tone heard by callers for an outbound call? Currently, for calls made by OCS, upon connection of the call the caller occasionally hears the standard company ring tone played via Stream Manager. This can be confusing for customers when they are the ones being called!
It only happens sometimes, I guess when the call isn't connected quick enough. Is there a way to turn it off for outbound only, or to increase the timeout before the ring tone starts playing?
I guess I could edit the audio and insert some silence at the beginning if all else fails...

Hi Adam,
Could you post here snippet of SIP Server log with sample call?

Hey René
I've gone with the easy option of adding 500ms of silence at the start of the ring tone ;)
Looking at the logs, it happens because an EventRinging is sent before connection of the call, at which point the ringtone plays. There's up to a 300ms delay before the call is actually connected, so a partial ring was heard.
A bit of delay at the start fixes this.
