Title: Gplus for CRM 4.0
Post by: a.jay on August 23, 2011, 02:13:29 PM
Hi there,
could you help me to solve one problem..I have tested Gplus Adapter for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 version 7.6.100.01 on WinServ 2008 (IIS 7), SQL 2008 and faced with the problem: According to guide i have to create a new virtual directory to Microsoft Dynamics CRM > ISV and i have done all stages but can't start application from ...\ISV\GenesysGplusAdapter" Web Site . Always i get error "404 Error in application /ISV/GenesysGplusAdapter' with trying to go to  /ISV/GenesysGplusAdapter/default.aspx.. I tried to make something in IIS, but all time i got a fail.

There is a part of logs:

Looks like your missing a configuration option for your Gplus_CRM application in CME.

Hi there,
could you help me to solve one problem..I have tested Gplus Adapter for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 version 7.6.100.01
1) ask the genesys support for really latest version! 7.6.100.01 - contain some ugly bag.
2) publish export gplus config options
3) publish web.config from gplus directory

Hi Timur  :)
The specialist called me and assured that Gplus doesn't support windows 2008.
Ok, now I'm testing in windows 2003, strictly according to the manual, install the version 7.6.104.01 and it doesn't work.

Attached.

Thanks in advance

Humm...by default IIS will try to load a default.htm or default.html files, so if they don't exist you will get that 404 error you are seeing...if you have a different index name then go to the folder settings on IIS and write it down.
To see correct behaviour you can try to open a browser, write the URL and the name of a file that do exists on that filder so you will avoid the 404 error...

why you create gplus under the ISV folder?
Coz according to deployment "Right-click ISV, point to New, and click Virtual Directory..., as shown in Figure 8 on
page 36"...

As I understand, i have to get integration with gplus by reference: http://../ISV/GenesysGplusAdapter/

There is no "Default.html" file in directory, coz as Genesys says "The default.htm file is included in the DLL's as an embeded resource, as is every other js, html, and graphic file.  So when an htm resource is needed, it is pulled from the ResourceHttpHandler"

CRM runs only without integration GPlus..
