Title: Genesys 8 - Direct database access
Post by: AdriaanB on September 09, 2011, 11:04:45 AM
Currently we are using DatasourceDBserver, StatServer 7.6 and I made some online reports directly on the databases (ETL, GCTI76,..).
I made them because I think its rather complicated in CCPulse to create complex historic reports.
Also, our users like using tools like MsAccess, Business Objects and such to integrate with other datasources.

Now I heard from a Genesys consultancy provider that in version 8 the database could well be a black box one.
Any of you had experience using direct access on these databases in version 8?

All Genesys reporting databases are opened so you can access them using any reporting tool. Genesys does not force you to use an specific reporting tool. You can search Genesys Knowledge Base for the documented structure of each of the Genesys reporting databases.
Please note that Stat Server and UCS databases are not meant to be used as reporting sources though.
