Title: Interactive Insights and Infomart

Hi All,

Is it possible for Interactive Insights[7.6] to provide reports by using the data from GVP VAR / Statserver without ICON?

Does installation of ICON[7.6] mandatory for Interactive Insights[7.6]?

Short answer, no. Unless you build your own mechanism to capture the data from T-Server, StatServer, etc and populate your database.
You need ICONs to capture the data and store it in Infomart.

Why would you not want to deploy ICON?! As for GVP 7.6 VAR data only then I believe you do not need ICON. However, please bear in mind that with InfoMart 8 VAR data is no longer supported.

Don't bother with Icon 7.6, Infomart 7.6 and Interactive Insights 7.6 (the whole stack is required) due to the fact that  Interactive Insights 7.6 is very limited in it's reporting.

The product is only mature as of version 8 inclusive of the RAA layer. Hence if you purchase Icon 8, Infomart 8 and Interactive Insights 8, you will have a great reporting solution capable of near real time and historical reporting.
