Title: SIP Server, Audiocodes mediant 2000 gateway
Post by: kmh5147 on October 25, 2011, 02:07:46 PM
Hello Everyone,a general questions concerning a standalone SIP server.

We currently operate in a Genesys enviroment on a Nortel cs1000 backed PBX.  Currently all IVRs, agents etc are hanging off the pbx, and I would like to create a few agents hanging off the SIP Server.  Provided that the configuration is in place for the nortel urs to target one of these SIP agents, what are my possibilities for configuration of the Audiocodes gateway?  Would the gateway be setup using trunkside T1's to the gateway or lineside?  I would assume the gateway would be setup using trunkside and route in genesys through an external route point in a similar fashion that our other contact center switches do.  However I have read in a nortel document about setting up the audiocodes gateway on lineside T1's, which would be interesting, Im just not sure how this would work.

Hi,

I assume you are trying to link the Nortel and Genesys sides over SIP trunking using Audiocodes as the gateway in between in a similar way to SES between Avaya and Genesys? You are correct in that ERPs would be used to transfer calls between the two side.
