Title: question on recommended or standard off-hook, on-hook settings in CPD
Post by: stvl on April 04, 2012, 05:17:36 PM
Hi,

I'm new to this Forum, and to Genesys in general. I'm trying to find if there are any recommended settings for off-hook delay, off-hook timeout, and on-hook timeout, in CPD, in conjunction with a PBX using Dialogic.  the user guide mentions default values, but the environment I'm looking at has different settings from the default and also different between the Prod environment and the Lab environment.

thx

The defaults are good but should be tuned for every environment.

Are you having a particular problem?

no, no problem, just tryihg to understand the reasoning behind some settings.  other question however, the tcall-off-hook-delay is not documented in Genesys.  Any Idea what it does and what the default settings are?

You're more likely to find that somewhere in the Dialogic docs ... This is a level of detail I've never had to worry about but as far as I know off hook delay is the time that Dialogic should wait after picking up the phone before dialling - it's normally fairly short like 20-100ms.
