Title: Change DNIS
Post by: PFCCWA on July 19, 2012, 12:52:34 PM
Hello,
I am trying to change the DNIS within our routing strategy however cannot seem to have it updated.
Tried SetDNIS function, however when assigning the DNIS to a variable, it still populates with the original one.
I have read the attributeDNIS cannot be updated so ignore the DNIS entry on there even after using the SetDNIS function, but would expect the DNIS assigned to a varible to be the new one?
Also tried SetDNISOverride but this comes back with an unknown 0001 error in the urs logs.
We want genesys to pass this new DNIS to our CRM rather than the original, and DNIS is the data it receives.

I could be doing it wrong...
Has anyone tried doing this successfully.
Thanks.

Hello

Some TServers doesn't support override of DNIS. It is then read only parameter of interaction and you will never change it.

We are using SIP server 8.0, with avaya mediagateway, urs 8, gvp 8, gad 7.6

Not sure that it always works but you probably additonally need to set routing type in routing request as RouteTypeOverwriteDNIS (numeric value 3).
Probably for quick check just call functions SetDNIS[new dnis value] and SetRouteType[3] somewhere at the beginning.

cavagnaro: Where is another thread which discusses this? I was hoping to find at least 1 other thread since you mentioned it was discussed in at least 100.

Well this is awkward...can't find more...and I'm 100% sure we have answered this question many many times...even me when just started on Genesys had a related question about multiple DNIS and solution was given...I have the documents even...
The idea was in resume that as DNIS is a static info (not UDATA) can't be override so attach your own DNIS KVP (myDNIS = '1234') and use this KVP instead of original one...

Must check the site DB...seems a time fragment is missing...???
