Title: How to Enable G729 Codec in MCP

Hi,

I need to enable G729 codec in MCP.

If I add G729 mcp.Codecs option it is giving me an error.

Logs

Hi
you need also check you gate side config and disable unsuported l16 on it.

Thanks for your reply. Avaya Team told that Genesys side need to enable ,it has been enabled on Avaya side.

Be aware of the issues G723 can bring...more compression means more CPU, less accurate DTMF, noise increase...not very good for IVR

Hi,

Thanks for your valuable input. any idea how to enable g729 in MCP. if i simple add g729 under mpc it is not allowing me to reach IVR.

I guess somthing i am missing in MCP option.

Erm..check your logs...SIP ones, check the codec negotiation and analyze it
