Title: genesys - acme - avaya integration question
Post by: rahul on August 08, 2012, 05:57:28 PM
Hi all

I am a newbie at genesys. and have a question for you guys.

I have worked earlier on a Genesys - Acme - Avaya integration and that solution was using an Avaya AES talking to genesys T server to get all the call control events and the media was to flow over the sip leg consisting SIP SBCs ( Cisco to Acme)

which works fine

Now, I am working on another solution implementation where I am told that the call control AES is not required and the call control + media can flow over the SIP link.

genesys version is 8.1

the question is, is that possible ?

Thanks

Rahul

Hi,

Your question is too generic to give You proper answer. In general I would say "everythign is possible" but it not always make sense. To give You more details more information is required, can You specify:

a) how calls are delivered to Your system from PSTN
- through PBX
- through generic media gateway
- through SIP trunk
b) where the agent phones are connected
- to Genesys SIP Server
- to PBX that is compatible with Genesys TServer
- to PBX that is not compatible with Genesys TServer
c) if phones are connected to PBX does PBX has proper licenses allowing third party like Genesys to receive events
d) are You planing to replace this PBX in future
