Title: Administrator Role Privileges - Custom Tasks
Post by: Adam_W on January 21, 2013, 01:14:11 PM
I feel like I'm missing something obvious here, but how do you go about creating a custom task in Administrator role privileges?

I've created a custom module but I don't want every agent to have access to it, so I want to create a task such as "InteractionWorkspace.CustomModule.CanUse".

I thought it might be as simple as editing the XML for the role privileges and re-importing, but my custom task is still missing when I view the role afterwards.

I assume it's possible as the IWS sample module-config files include non-standard task assignments.

You have to do anything wrong, because for me is all working fine.

I have created custom "task" in IWS metadata file, next import it via GA to IWS template. You have to allow this task for required agent or agent group and edit your module-config file in custom part of IWS to your own task.

I create task IWS.Custom.canUse,allowed for every user and edit config file,so my module load correctly.

Thanks, you're right.

I was creating a role, exporting the XML definition, editing it and re-importing it.

I didn't edit the template metadata.  Once I did this, it worked fine  8)
