Title: SIP Endpoint and Citrix capacity
Post by: Allan on May 20, 2013, 09:35:31 AM
Hi,

I am struggling to find the capacity requirements on Citrix Xenapp 6.5 environment for SIP Endpoint in a 8.1 environment.
Any pointers appreciated.

What capacity req. do you mean? I have installed a few installation with SIP on Citrix and I never solve any capacity. Citrix is only a  layer on OS and the capacity for SIP comm is necessary to compute/solve on OS site.

Thanks for the response. There is capacity from the data centres to the call centres via a WAN link with QOS. If we use IP turrets then there is only IWS that will be run over Citrix. If I use SIP end points instead of IP turrets, I need to understand what additional capacity/infra-structure would be required on the Citrix infra-structure to support SRTP running over lca session.

Is that clearer?

It depends on many things like a used codec for IP communication, count of call per day, simultaneous calls, etc.

Hi Allan,

FYI - Genesys SIP Endpoint is not officially supported on any virtual environment...
