Title: MCP cannot be assigned to logical resource group
Post by: anoredis on September 10, 2013, 08:57:32 AM
Hello there!

I have a problem with the MCP and the logical resource group I am creating. I have installed RM, MCP and then I create a Resource group. I assign the mcp that is listed, configure the ports and finish the procedure through the genesys administrator. I can see the two folders created for the logical groups in configuration manager, the one under "GVP_897s98dgsdfgdssd9" which has my "MCP_LRG" under it and another one "GVP_Unnassigned" which has the folder "Resources" under it (single tenant configuration). As far as I know, from previous installations, my MCP should be transfered from Applications folder to this folder.  The result is that sipServer logs tell me that there is no resources to handle voicexml (No matching resources for this service type [service type:voicexml])

Can anyone help me? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance!

MCP must be here

Check the service type in MCP_LRG

Thanks for the quick response Timur,
I know the mcp should be under the GVP_giberish folder but it is empty. The MCP_LRG group type is Media Control Platform and I check all the services including voicexml but nothing changes

Looks like it's a Genesys Administrator error. I recommend u to check the release notes for it or simple install the latest one.

GA: 8.1.300.09
MCP: 8.1.401.66
RM: 8.1.401.67
confServer: 8.1.200.17

I do not know what is wrong with that installation.. I believed that it may had to do with cfg_dbserver being in Read-only mode but I have triple-checked it. I can save every other object. Is there any chance that it has to do with the script of the page? Something on IIS ?

Btw upgrade GA to latest version and it will start creating reasonable names for folders instead of this GVP_blablablalbl thing

Thanks for the suggestion bublepaw, I know and will do that as soon as I figure this one out. I do not know why this is happening and I have encountered this issue a couple of times...  :(

Hi All,

Did any one find the solution for this issue? MCP is not getting assigned to the LRG created.

Thank You

Finally got the solution from another thread in the forum. :)

The MCP application should be assigned Full control permission for the "System" Access group.  Then we can create the LRG and select the MCP resource.

Thought to share this for anyone needy in the future.

Best Regards
