I'm struggling a bit with CC Pulse, as it is something I've never really played with before. Always given it over to the Users instead... :)
We have a number of quite complex workspaces, each with several views and monitoring the status of a number of different DN Groups (and the VQs contained within) as well as Agent Groups (and the Agents contained within).
It seems that if I want to add a new DN Group or Agent group to the objects, I effectively have to recreate the whole workspace from scratch.
Ordinarily this wouldn't be more than a 10-15 minute job, but each of the views has a whole bunch of thresholds applied to make things pretty colours. It also seems that although the thresholds themselves carry over (inasmuch as their basic configuration) each threshold then has to be reapplied to a view. For example, we apply 5 different thresholds to a column displaying Not Ready Reasons, another 2 or 3 to a column displaying the State Time, etc., so it is rather a mammoth job to rebuild from scratch every time.
I must be doing it wrong, right?!

Not something I play with either! However I seem to remember that it is possible to export the workspace (possibly to XML) and then edit that.

Yeah that's the pain of setting up views/workspaces only to have to rebuild them and reapply all thresholds once again..and repeat when a new object needs is created.
I tried opening up the stg file with xml editor and other programs, wasn't able to do this.
I know there's a way to have newly created objects appear, but it would be global to all CCP users (it's a true/false attribute). I'm on a work trip and don't have the manual, but it was on there..When I get back I'll look for it and reply back.

Better you re-build it, yes it is a pain, but you cannot add views to existing view....
-
When you have a WorkSpace opened and click New one it will have all objects already pre-selected so you just add new objects ones.
-
correct, but one would have to reapply all thresholds.
IgnoreNewObjectNotifications is the attribute to change, it's on page 47 of the CCPulse+ Admin Guide (8.0.101.00)
If you set to 'false', new objects will appear instantly on the call center objects pane.

Well...yeah...that is the ugly part.
