Title: Hot Standby Deployments
Post by: Bob on January 01, 1970, 12:00:00 AM
Has anyone out there used the hot standby method for obtaining HA? I have a switch that would support the need to send identical info along two switch connections so I'm thinking I can avoid having to buy another software package, HA Proxy, to help me obtain HA.

Anyone else have experience deploying a solution like this?

Whats the most popular method for obtaining High Availability out there?

Thanks!!

It depends on what switch you are using.
If you are using NEAX or G3, you really do not need HA. In case of G3, just add an additional MAPD and setup link redundancy. There should not be a reason for you to have HA. Just make sure that you have asked Genesys that they suport it.
