Post by: Tony on January 01, 1970, 12:00:00 AM
Hi,

Does anyone have any docs on configuring Genesys 6.5 with the
Nortel Meridian?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Tony

Most of the information is available in the TServer for Meridian 1 documentation provided by Genesys. Do you have the manual and did you read through it?

Besides this: If you do have any special questions do not hesitate to ask: We have G6.5 running at 8 locations, each one with an M1 switch.

Hi, Tony, unfortunately, we cannot do it. It would be against our contract with our vendors, but, there should be nothing wrong with us helping you with your questions. What would you like to know? I have installed several multisites using symposium tserver and urs so shoot!

Ralph,

I saw you response on the Tserver discussion Forum on Nortel Meridian
problems.
And I have a question about a 81C Meridian Rls 25.15 in combination with
Symposium Express 3.0 an Genesys 6.5.

Every time we do a sysload on our machine we have problems
to log on with the desktop on the 3820 phones.
If we have that problem, we unwire the phone for a moment and then
the problem is solved.
But its not the right way to do this as you know.

So maby you know this problem and have a solution for it.

Thanks and with kind regards

Marco

Hi !
The problem with sysload on Meridian is that when the switch is reloaded all "accuired" resources get a new "accurie id", and you need to restart tserver.
Se the following respons from Nortel.
------------
The Host application needs to re acquire all needed resources after the
event: LinkStatusReport with status 06 (Link UP)
Because M1 loose association ID in this case. (e.g. power off /reboot
/sysload/network: tcp ip problem)
So third party application need to resynchronize data with M1 and get a new
ressource ID.
At this time, you need to reboot the Genesys system manually, but this kind
of issue can be done automatically.
