Title: Changing SIP header
Post by: cmac on January 20, 2015, 05:44:18 PM
Testing in an environment that has GVP vs 8.1, SIP TServer vs 8.0 and CUCM (Cisco) TServer 8.1
Having an issue when we try to control the showing of the CLID for an inbound call to Cisco and Genesys.  The CLID is either shown or not by using a SIP normalizing script to modify headers from Cisco to Genesys.
If the From line in the SIP header from Cisco is changed to Anonymous, when a test call is sent to GVP for treatment I hear 32 sec of silence then the call is disconnect.  Checking the TServer and URS logs they look normal (contains call type, route point, etc info).  With packet capture we can see that there isn't any RTP packets being sent by the MCP/GVP server, even though the info is being passed to the GVP on what app to play.
If another test call is made, but this time I block my CLID from being sent by my cell, the correct treatment is played by the GVP.  For both types of calls the original ANI is showing as anonymous in the logs.
Any ideas as to what is causing the silence for the first test call where the CLID is sent by the cell?

30 seconds and then disconnect normally is a DNS issue, are you using ip addresses or fqdn on sip domain? If fqdn try to change for ip address or add to hosts file.
If using ip address check they have full connectivity

About identification check your Cisco.

32 sec is the Timer B, which is "timeout" for SIP INVITE message. It seems like issue on SIP signalizatio, so the network sniff says more. Try to check your deployment and configuration as well. The other thing is, that on SIP server application object are options related to the play treatment behaviour - like treatment-timeout ,etc.
