Title: total calls entered in queue
Post by: S2H on April 03, 2015, 08:24:57 PM
When a call enters a queue, it can be cleared before distributed. But whether it will be cleared after it is distributed. And total calls entered in a queue = total calls answered + total calls abandoned + total calls cleared. Please correct me if it is wrong

?

Total Calls Entered is the overall number of Calls Entering a Queue - not exiting it...

?

EDIT: Do you mean Total Calls Distributed..?

In which scenarios Call Cleared from a queue happens?

Not sure I understand your question fully - but;

Total Call Entered = Everything
Total Calls Distributed = Answered + Abandoned + Cleared

Cleared can mean that Routing Rules/Strategies have moved the call to another Queue - or that an underlying system (Switch) has removed the call using it's own (Vector) Routing.  Basically, "Cleared" could be anything that wasn't Answered or Abandoned.  If you use the "Search" facility on this site, you could have found a good thread about this, here:

Hope This Helps?

Calls_Entered = Calls_Answered + Calls_Abandoned + Calls_Cleared

The equation Calls_Entered = Calls_Answered + Calls_Abandoned does not take into account calls that are abandoned after leaving the route point.
Calls_Abandoned represents only the calls that were abandoned from the queue or route point. Whereas, calls_answered only represents those calls that are distributed and eventually answered. A call that is distributed (leaves the route point) and is abandoned before being answered will not be counted by either statistic

The values for Calls_Entered and Calls_Answered + Calls_Abandoned will rarely (if ever) be the same.
