Title: Webphone

How are you? The company I work for is considering hiring an integrator to develop a webased softphone application for our agents. I am deeply concerned with the performance of such an application wouldn't we be facing delay elated problems in this kind of environment?

I think Internet is really a great thing, but I question the wisdom of connecting everything to it. I have trouble seeing benefits of a webased agent application. Can someone please back me up?

Basically, a softphone is a realtime application. HTTP isn't. Softphone requires guaranteed message delivery. HTTP can't do that. If you're looking for someone to back you, I'm with you all the way.

I am interested in seeing a sample of it, before I could pass on the judgment. Do you know where I could find it?
