Hi,
I tried to look at documentation but I can't see the information which tell me which PUSH/PULL method is used by Genesys.
From my understanding PUSH method is used by default. Is it possible to use PULL method for email synchronization in Genesys ?
If yes, then how can we PULL emails ? Do we need to write a code/ script which can manage via Supervisor desktop to PULL emails ?
Regards,
Raza

You pull from a workbin for example, or from an interaction queue you have access to on IWS (monitoring)

Hi cavagnaro,
You are getting me wrong.
I am not asking about pulling emails from IWS/GAD .. I am asking about the method by which ESJ take emails from mail exchange.

To get emails from Exchange check supported protocols (IMAP/POP/EWS)
You configure a time cycle on ESJ, that is it

We ca get emails on protocol (IMAP/POP/EWS) with PUSH METHOD used thats why we will have an email into the system when the email arrives to exchange. I think we can't use PULL method For example; Outlook do have SEND/RECEIVE button by which we can PULL emails from exchange but Genesys ESJ do not have any interface which have button like outlook SEND/RECEIVE.
As I understand, Agent can PULL emails via GAD from interaction queues (Same like it do for workbins). How can we configure PULL method for this ? and Do GAD need customization ?

Read the docs, man. GAD supports MCR/eServices layer by default, no special customization has to be there.

On outlook you press the button (not pull is a sync button) or wait for a time for it to download messages automatically. As said, that time cycle is how ESJ works.
