Title: Problems when deleting a contact
Post by: vma on July 02, 2015, 12:05:59 PM
Hi,

I'm using UCS 8.1.400.15 with WDE 8.5 and one of the agents deleted a contact. The issue that also all the history associated with this contact was deleted from ucs database but not from ixn database. Now we are stuck with a lot of emails (aprox 200) in the ixn interactions table that are presented to the agents without body and there is a ucs error in WDE when they try to reply.
Is there a way to recover these interactions in the ucs? Even if I ask the DBA for a backup how can I copy interaction for only one contact? is it enough if I copy the records from the ucs interaction table? That presuming that I recreate the contact and update the ContactId with the old one.
And still I'm really puzzle why would deleting a contact deletes all emails for that contact.. We lost thousands of emails.

Thanks,
Mihai

Strongly recommend to denied the deleting of contacts on RBAC level. In any case, you have to recreate the contact and fill the contactId to the IXN attributes or make a new custom contact and use his ID. No other way. I do not recommend use the DB backup for these purposes

Would open an ESR with Genesys. Sounds awful what you describe.
Don't do db manipulation unless Genesys guys tell you to
